Sarah T.

Amber G

 Tutor

Younger years and SEN, English Phonics and Maths

Head of English of a BIlingual Independent Primary School in NW London, Amber is a mum to two girls and a teacher with 15 years of classroom experience in KS1/ 2 and early years. Teaching in Bilingual School means she specializes in tutoring English as an additional language. As many children struggle with the Phonics method in UK schools Amber has a proven track record of one on one tutoring to get them back on track to hit their reading and Phonics targets at school with confidence.

Sarah is an experienced primary school teacher with 18 years in education, and a specialist SEND tutor. Beginning with supporting her Autistic son, Sarah developed extensive expertise in speech and language development, socio cognitive therapy, and the use of social stories (these are stories tailored to the individual child that help teach concepts and ideas). She works with children with ASD, both inattentive and hyperactive ADHD, as well as children with complex learning and communication needs.

Sarah is particularly skilled at breaking down speech and language, early reading, writing and maths concepts into manageable steps, tailoring learning closely to each child's interests, strengths and individual needs, whether they are in Mainstream school or not. She prefers to include the families/ carers into her approach, explaining methodology and reporting back on progress, so they also gain valuable tools and understanding of how learning looks for their Neurodivergent child. Her patient, nurturing approach helps children build confidence, develop social and communication skills, encourage positive behaviors, and make lasting progress.

Sarah is also a SEND support consultant, guiding parents/ carers through the often complex journey of securing the right support, including EHCP applications and appeals.

Nina P

SEN Tutor

Nina has over 25 years of experience teaching maths and physics in secondary schools across London. Along her teaching journey she became interested in Dyslexia and how many bright, capable children think and learn in a different way. Nina trained in the Davis® method, which she incorporates into her tutoring. The Davis® method is a highly effective programme designed for Dyslexia, but very beneficial for any child who finds reading, maths, focus, and organisation challenging.

For 20 years Nina has worked closely with children and their families to help them understand how they learn best, rebuild confidence, and remove the frustration that can so often come with mainstream school. Her approach is calm, encouraging, and deeply personalised, helping children feel capable again and make meaningful progress.

Nina is based in NW London.
